I draw SO much, like a laughable amount, and so many of the things I make never see the light of day. It’s fun to look through them and see where I was at during that time.
Last year Akshar and I celebrated his birthday in Paris, oh là là. The color palette of that city is so sumptuous—rich food, rich colors. It feels like everything is timeless and brand new at the same time. I made this mauve + moody piece at that time and it transports me right back there. I went back through some of the photos I took at that time and I love how you can see them coming through.
